The Office of Multicultural Affairs

Programs, Services, and Student Groups

Multicultural Ambassadors

Multicultural Ambassadors are a group of students, from various cultural backgrounds, who are afforded an opportunity to assist and support the Multicultural Affairs and Mentoring Office. Being a Multicultural Ambassador is an excellent opportunity to improve your leadership skills, help plan and set up multicultural programs and activities, participate in recruitment activities, and become better connected with the college community. Ambassadors network with college administrators, faculty, and staff, as well as meet new people, make long-lasting friendships, and work with a team of highly motivated and responsible students. If you are interested in becoming an Ambassador, just stop by the 3rd Floor of the Student Center, Schwalm Building.

Retention

One of our main objectives is to increase the retention of all students. We offer assistance in the following areas to help students meet their full academic potential.

Latino Scholars

A representative body of students with a common Hispanic culture that provides a supportive social and academic network of peers as well as to celebrate their heritage and customs throughout the campus community. Membership in the Latino Scholars Alliance is open to the entire Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology community. Students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds are welcome to join. For more information contact Mr. Arjona by phone at 717-295-7819.

Tech Phi Tech

A fraternity whose purpose is to encourage and sponsor activities devoted to the ideals of community services, scholarship, and brotherhood and to create a lifelong network of aspiring technicians from the various trade areas. Community Service projects include; feeding the homeless at various shelters, assisting the elderly at various assisted living facilities; mentoring youth; volunteering at community centers, public schools, and churches, and much more.
