SKILLSUSA COMPETITION

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Students Competed in Various Area

 

Twelve students from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology competed in the 42nd Annual SkillsUSA Pennsylvania State Competitions on Wednesday, April 2 and Thursday, April 3.  Each of the students placed in the top 5, garnering four 1st place finishers, two 2nd place finishers, two 3rd place finishers, three 4th place finishers and one 5th place finisher.

 

Students from Thaddeus Stevens who competed and won were:

Kevin Bollinger - Sophomore placed First in Architectural Drafting

Markus Couch - Freshman placed First in Tech. Drafting

Ryan Hardy - Sophomore placed First in Auto Refinishing Technology

Adam Schaeffer - Sophomore placed First in Networking

Levi Roop - Sophomore placed Second in Collision Repair Technology

Brinton Schlegel - Sophomore placed Second in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

Jonah Lake - Sophomore placed Third in Masonry

Jake Andress - Sophomore placed Third in Cabinetmaking

Eric Ficks - Freshman placed Fourth in Carpentry

Nick Hove - Sophomore placed Fourth in Extemporaneous Speaking

Nathan Yeagley - Sophomore placed Fourth in Industrial Motor Control

David Bigler -  placed Fifth in Computer Maintenance Technology

 

All 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners won scholarships to various schools.  Some participating students also won tools for placing in the competitions.
