CNSA 216: Web Programming (3 Credits)
A course that builds upon the information learned in The Internet (CNSA 171) course in the second semester of the CNSA Program’s first year, plus the Script Programming (CNSA 211) and Database Systems (CNSA 221) courses in the first semester of the second year. Advanced Web programming and development techniques and tools are introduced. The primary focus of the course is on the design of dynamic, interactive Web sites, using current Web programming languages and tools, including the technology of the Microsoft .NET Framework. Students will integrate the use of relational databases to provide data storage and retrieval for their interactive Web sites. Students will also configure and manage Web servers to support interactive Web pages. Students will use real-world examples, interactive lab exercises, and hands-on projects to reinforce key concepts. Prerequisites: CNSA 172, CNSA 212, CNSA 222
