Automotive Technology Hand Tool Requirements

Unlike many of the for-profit auto tech programs that are out there, we do not require incoming students to buy a $2,500.00 of $5,000.00 tool kit. We do however have a basic hand tool requirement that can be fullfilled on a 3 step process if necessary. Please read the 3 small documents that are available below, as they explain everything. You can print them out before you go tool shopping. Keep in mind that during the 2 years you are in training you will want to add to your set. Several national tool companies provide student discounts (up to 50%) for full time students attending a 2 year associate degree automotive program. Snap-On, Matco, and Mack Tools are examples you could persue.
