LANCASTER, PA – Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology (TSCT) announced its new Cross Country Head Coach today. Jeffrey Breidinger, Jr. will immediately take the reigns of the Cross Country program at Thaddeus Stevens College.

“I am extremely excited to be a part of the Cross Country program here at Thaddeus Stevens College,” commented Breidinger. “I am looking forward to making the College’s program standout from other programs in the NJCAA and to build the program into a competitive, yet fun experience for our athletes.”

Breidinger is a graduate of DeSales University with a Bachelors of Science in Sport Management. He was a member of the Men’s Track and Field program at DeSales and was a member of the program’s first Outdoor Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship in 2011.

Before coaching at Thaddeus Stevens College, Breidinger has had exceptional sports management experiences and coaching in the PIAA with extensive involvement in District XI. Breidinger previously coached track at Saucon Valley High School and Salisbury Township High School as an assistant track and field coach, where his impact was felt through the program producing numerous league and district qualifiers and medalists. Breidinger has coached also coached high school football at Saucon Valley High School, Wilson Area High School, and coached as a women’s assistant basketball coach at Salisbury Township School District.

During the 2014-15 academic year, Breidinger became the Men’s and Women’s Throws Coach at York College of Pennsylvania where he took an athlete to the NCAA Division 3 National Championships.

“We are enthusiastic about bringing Coach Breidinger on board here at Thaddeus Stevens College,” stated Dr. Christopher Metzler, Director of Student Services and TSCT Athletic Director. “Based on his previous coaching experiences, it is obvious he has had an immediate impact on virtually every team he has coached. We look forward him bringing that impact to Stevens.”

Breidinger currently resides in Columbia, PA and works as a crew member with Cooks Brothers Estate Services.

“We will immediately begin to work on building this program,” stated Breidinger. “In the past 3 seasons, the team has produced two EPAC Champions. We look to build on that success, add more competitive members to the team and raise TSCT as one of the Cross Country powerhouses in the NJCAA."
