Policies
The College is committed to resolving student appeals, complaints, and grievances in a timely, fair, and respectful manner. This page includes information regarding non-discrimination, Title IX, academic appeals, student conduct, and general complaints.
Complaints (Students and Employees)
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology does not discriminate in its educational programs or employment practices based on race, color, ethnic or national origin, ancestry, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, genetic information, or any other legally protected classification.
Please refer to the Title IX and Non-Discrimination Policies for additional details. To file a complaint, use the “Report a Violation” or “Report Discrimination,” which will be directed to the Directors of Employee Engagement and Campus Inclusion and Compliance.

Student Concerns, Grievances, and Appeals
Academic Integrity
The College prohibits academic misconduct such as plagiarism, cheating, and fabrication. You can read about the Academic Integrity Policy in the Student Handbook and each course syllabus. The Academic Integrity Policy describes expected and prohibited behaviors, possible sanctions, and the appeal process.
Appealing Grades
Refer to the Grading Policy, which includes a section related to the procedure for appealing a grade.
Academic Standing, Probation, and Dismissal
Refer to the Academic, Standing, Probation, and Dismissal Policy for the policy and procedures for appealing an academic dismissal.
Student Conduct
The College is committed to fostering an educational environment built on respect, integrity, and inclusivity. Refer to the Student Code of Conduct Policy for information about how to report misconduct or to appeal a sanction.
General Complaints, Grievances, and Appeals Form
If you are not sure which policy or form to use, complete the general form below and you will be directed to the appropriate office. Complaints related to sexual harassment or discrimination should be reported using the specific forms listed above to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

What if a solution is still not reached?
The College is committed to resolving student grievances, complaints, and concerns in a timely, fair, and respectful manner. If the complaint cannot be resolved through these channels, additional options are available through the Pennsylvania Department of Education or the College’s accreditor, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
