The Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Cross Country team continues to demonstrate the determination, discipline, and drive that define Bulldog Athletics, highlighted by an impressive performance from first-year student-athlete Tristan Weaver at Lock Haven University.

Competing on the challenging 8K course, Weaver crossed the finish line in 26:09 to earn a first-place individual finish, setting the pace against a competitive field and continuing the strong tradition of excellence within #TSCT Athletics.

Weaver’s success reflects the commitment and perseverance student-athletes bring to every practice and competition as an athlete, and every class project as a student. Through hard work and consistency he has emerged as a leader for the Bulldogs both on and off the course.

The Bulldogs Cross Country program provides student-athletes with opportunities to grow as competitors, teammates, and future professionals. Athletics are an important part of the complete college experience at Thaddeus Stevens College, helping students develop leadership skills, resilience, time management, and a strong sense of community.

That same spirit drives the College’s mission as the architect of opportunity. Students are empowered to discover what they are capable of through hands-on, practical learning experiences while preparing for high-demand careers that create family-thriving wages and transform futures.

As the season continues, the Bulldogs will look to build on this momentum and carry the same grit and determination that led to Weaver’s first-place finish into future competitions. The team’s success serves as another example of how Thaddeus Stevens College students rise to challenges, pursue excellence, and make the most of the opportunities in front of them.

At Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, student-athletes are supported by a caring community that values personal growth and student success. Whether competing on the course or learning in the lab Bulldogs continue to demonstrate what is possible when opportunity and determination come together.
