The achievements of three Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology students continue to earn recognition across the Commonwealth.
Recently, Computer Integrated Machining graduates Trevor Masterson, Shaun Hershey, and Hayden Telford were honored with a citation from the Pennsylvania State Senate in recognition of winning Project MFG’s National Clash of the Trades Championship, where they competed against the nation’s top manufacturing students and earned the $100,000 grand prize.
The citation was presented on behalf of Senator Scott Martin, celebrating the students’ national accomplishment and the skill and teamwork that led them to the championship title.
Trevor and Hayden returned to campus to accept the recognition alongside College representatives. Shaun, who is now serving in the United States Marine Corps, was unable to attend the presentation but was recognized as part of the championship team.
Their national victory showcased the high level of hands-on, practical learning that defines the Computer Integrated Machining program at Thaddeus Stevens College. Through industry-focused training, students develop the technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence needed to excel in high-demand careers and compete on a national stage.
As the architect of opportunity, Thaddeus Stevens College is proud to celebrate Trevor, Shaun, and Hayden for this well-deserved recognition. Their success reflects the power of accessible technical education to transform futures, strengthen communities, and prepare the next generation of manufacturing leaders.
Congratulations to these Bulldog champions on yet another outstanding achievement.
