Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology’s Track and Field program delivered one of its strongest performances of the season at the Millersville Metric, hosted by Millersville University, finishing 5th out of 20 competing teams. The meet produced broken school records, national podium finishes, and builds on a pair of national rankings that have the Bulldog program firmly on the map.
The Men’s Team is currently ranked 3rd in the Nation by the NJCAA, with top individual national rankings in the Men’s 110 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles, and 4×400 Relay. The Women’s Team sits 9th in the Nation, with top individual national rankings in the Women’s 5000m and 800m, and a second-place national ranking in the 1500m.
A Season Already Rewriting the Record Books
The record-breaking began the weekend prior, when first-year student Janet Oliseh broke the college record in both the 100- and 200-meter sprints. It was a remarkable debut and an early signal of what this team is capable of as the season unfolds.
The momentum carried into the Millersville Metric, where Robert Salazar Rosell delivered a historic double. In the 110 High Hurdles, he claimed third place while lowering his own school record to 15.17, then returned to win the 400 Hurdles outright with another school record of 54.68. The relay teams matched that energy. The 4×100 earned second place and climbed to third in the NJCAA rankings, while the 4×400 took first place and now sits atop the NJCAA national rankings.
Bulldogs Across the Board
Multi-event athlete Tae’vian Richardson earned second-place finishes in both the High Jump and Long Jump, and fourth in the Triple Jump. Distance standout Tristan Weaver finished third in both the 800 and 1500. Caden Swailes placed seventh in the Javelin, Tyliyah Diaz-Cruz seventh in the 5000, and Kathryn McCrosson seventh in the Discus.
From broken records to top-ten national rankings on both sides, Bulldog Track and Field is building something special this season. Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology congratulates every student-athlete and coach who contributed to this outstanding start. The best is still ahead.
