Orientation

Orientation isn’t just a series of events, it’s your first step toward feeling confident, connected, and prepared for what lies ahead. 

This is where you’ll meet classmates, explore campus resources, and learn the tools that will help you thrive academically and socially. 

Attending orientation ensures you start strong, build relationships early, and make the transition from high school to college as smooth as possible.  

Accepted Student Days (June 15-18)

If you could not attend your accepted student day, please find links to resources that were covered during the program. 

Health Services 

  • Completed health forms are required to attend classes at TSCT. 
  • Completed health forms should be submitted to meshey@stevenscollege.edu

Residence Life 

  • Students should monitor their TSCT email for steps to complete the housing process.

Student Success 

  • Continue to monitor your TSCT email for outreach from our student success team. 
  • Do you still need to complete your incoming student survey? Access that here

Student Accounts 

  • Invoices will generate once students are registered in their classes. 
  • Payments are due the Monday before the first day of class. 
  • Fall 2026 tuition is due by August 17. 

Financial Aid 

  • Make sure you log into Self Service to access and view your financial aid status. 
  • Should you have any outstanding items, you are able to access that information on Self Service.

Photos for Student IDs 

  • For those who attend ASD, your campus ID will be ready in August at new student orientation. 
  • For those who could not attend ASD, we will capture your photo for your campus ID in August! 

Fall 2026 Schedules 

  • Students are encouraged to monitor their schedule over the summer months in case rooms, locations, etc. could change. 
  • The first week of class is referred to as drop/add.  
  • During this time students would be able to alter their schedule – should it be applicable. 

Accessibility and Accommodations 

  • Thaddeus Stevens College is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified students eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. To determine appropriate accommodations, the Disability Services Office engages in an interactive process that balances the needs of the student and the academic objectives of the course.

  • Students should be prepared with their textbooks for the first day of class.

August Orientation

Dates: Thursday, August 20, AND Friday, August 21

  • Both dates are required.

Times: August 20, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and August 21, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. 

Location: Thaddeus Stevens College Main Campus | MAC Building 

Parking: Due to record enrollment, the college will need to utilize all parking lots for the August orientation. We recommend that students plan to leave with ample time to find parking and arrive at the MAC building. 

Parking will be available in the following lots: 

  1. Hartzell lot | Main Campus
  2. MAC lot | Main Campus
  3. Alm’s House lot
  4. Clark Street lot

Other details:

Students will be able to obtain their student ID cards, register their on campus vehicle, familiarize themselves with campus, interact with their classmates, connect with campus staff and student ran clubs/organizations, and much more!

There will not be a parent/caregiver program for the August orientation.

General Orientation Programming Information

Is orientation mandatory?

Yes. Orientation helps incoming students become acclimated to our campus, our services, and their peers. We expect students to attend their accepted student days and the new student orientation. 

Students enrolled in the Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship certificate program will not be required to attend the August orientation. Students enrolled in the SBME certificate will receive more information regarding an online orientation. All other incoming students are required to attend the August dates.

What is covered at orientation?

We’ll cover a variety of important topics and provide helpful information and resources valuable for the entire time a student is enrolled at Thaddeus Stevens College.  

August Orientation Dates: Incoming students will have the opportunity to connect with staff in a variety of offices and ensure everything is in place for them to begin their first semester at Thaddeus Stevens College successfully.

Are parents or caregivers able to attend orientation?

Parents and caregivers can attend their students’ June session for check-in, sit for the welcome, and the parent program will run from 10:30 a.m. – noon.  

August orientation is for the students only.

Are housing and meals provided throughout orientation?

Housing  

August Orientation Dates: Students will receive their semester housing assignment from the Residence Life team prior to the event. Move-in dates and times are forthcoming from our Residence Life team. 

Meals  

August Orientation Dates: Meals will be provided for those in attendance. More information to come on the meal specifics for our August dates.

Is the House of Champ College Store open during orientation?

Yes, the House of Champ College Store—located in the Alumni House—is open during any orientation programming.
